Summary Report on the Number of Small Livestock in Nationwide Livestock Farms

 

In the winter, the year 1401[1], the number of small livestock in the livestock farms nationwide was estimated 72.4 million heads

 

According to the results of the survey on “Measuring the Number and Products of Small Livestock” in the month of Esfand[2] of the year 1401, the number of sheep and lambs, goats and kids in the nationwide livestock farms was 54.4 and 18 million heads, respectively.

Other findings of this survey show that the number of fattened sheep and lambs, and goats and kids in the winter of the year 1401 was 3401 and 1172 thousand head, respectively, and the number of lambs and goat kids born in the same period was 13188 and 3480 thousand head, respectively.
