Consumer Price Index for the Month Ordibehesht , the Year 1402

Consumer Price Index for the Month Ordibehesht[1], the Year 1402

Price Index (PI)

In the month of Ordibehesht, the year 1402, the households CPI (base year 1400=100) of the nation stood at 185.5 which increased by 2.8 percent compared to the previous month. This figure increased by 54.6 percent in contrast to the corresponding month of the previous year. Moreover, the the households CPI of the nation increased by 49.1 percent in the twelve months ending the month of Ordibehehst, the year 1402 in comparison with the last corresponding time period.

 

National Point-to-point Inflation Rate

Point-to-point inflation rate refers to the percentage change in the price index in comparison with the corresponding month in the previous year. The point-to-point inflation rate in the month of Ordibehesht, the year 1402 stood at 54.6 percent, that is to say, that the national households spent, on average, 54.6 percent higher than the month of Ordibehesht of the year 1401 for purchasing “the same goods and services”. Moreover, in this month, the point-to-point inflation rate experienced a 0.9 percentage point decrease in comparison with the previous month (Farvardin, the year 1402).
