Summary Report on the Number of Small Livestock in Nationwide Livestock Farms
In the spring, the year 1402, the number of small livestock in the livestock farms nationwide was estimated 68.4 million heads
According to the results of the survey on “Measuring the Number and Products of Small Livestock” in the month of Khordad of the year 1402, the number of sheep and lambs, goats and kids in the nationwide livestock farms was 51.3 and 17.2 million heads, respectively.
Other findings of this survey show that the number of fattened sheep and lambs, and goats and kids in the winter of the year 1401 was 4578 and 1447 thousand head, respectively, and the number of lambs and goat kids born in the same period was 5847 and 2269 thousand head, respectively.
