National Consumer Price Index by Expenditure Deciles: in the Month of Tir[1] of the year 1398[2]

 

 

The national inflation rate for the month of Tir of the year 1398 stood at 40.4 percent, fluctuating between 40.1 percent for the first decile (those with the lowest income) and 43.1 percent for the tenth decile (those with the highest income) among the expenditure deciles. The range of the twelve-month inflation changes in the major group of "food, beverages and tobacco" was between 56.6 percent for the first decile and 62.8 percent for the tenth decile. The major group of "non-food items and services” also saw these fluctuations ranging from 27.0 percent for the first decile to 38.8 percent for the tenth decile[3].

 

Inflationary gap in deciles

 

According to the inflation rates for the expenditure deciles, the deciles inflationary gap in this month stood at 3.0 percent showing no change compared with the previous month (3.0 percent). The inflationary gap in the major groups of "food, beverages and tobacco” and "non-food items and services" increased by 0.5 and 0.7 percentage point, respectively in contrast to the previous month.
