General Country Consumer Price Index by the Expenditure Deciles: in the month of Ordibehesht of the year 1397[1]
General country inflation rate for the month of Ordibehsht (21 April-20 May) of the year 1397 is 8.0 percent which is fluctuating between 7.9 percent for the tenth decile (those with the highest income) and 8.3 percent for the fourth decile among the expenditure deciles. The range of the twelve-month inflation in the major group of "food, beverages and tobacco" is between 9.5 percent for the first decile to 11.0 percent for the tenth decile. Also, the same information for the major group of "non-food and services" is between 7.1 percent for the second decile and 7.2 percent for the tenth decile.
Inflationary gap reduction in deciles
According to the inflation figures among the different expenditure deciles, the deciles inflationary gap in this month reached 0.4 percent showing a 0.4 percent reduction compared to the previous month (0.8 percent). The inflationary gap in the major group of "food, beverages and tobacco increased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month and in the major group of "non-food and services" and decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous month.
