The SESRIC Director of General in the SCI

The H.E. Ambassador Musa Kulaklikaya, Director General of Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) visited the Statistical Centre of Iran (SCI) on 17 January 2018. In this visit, he had a meeting with Mr. Omidali Parsa, Head of Statistical Centre of Iran on expanding mutual cooperation on statistical activities between two organizations. In this meeting, Mr. Kulaklikaya explained the SESRIC's capacity building programmes in the OIC countries. Mr. Parsa also explained the activities of the SCI in the modernizing of the statistical system of the I.R. Iran and added that the SCI is going to move to the register-based statistical system in order to provide the high quality and timely statistics needed at national and international levels. Moreover, he continued that the SCI can contribute to the statistical capacity building programmes of SESRIC by providing course director, holding training course and workshop and implementing joint projects on statistical issues.

At the end, both sides expressed hope to continue and expand their cooperation in different statistical areas.
