1- The general index (base year 1390=100) in the month of Khordad of the year 1396¹ shows 245.2 which has increased 0.3 percent in contrast to the preceding month. The increase in the general index was 9.4 percent compared to the corresponding month in the previous year (point-to-point inflation), which dropped by 0.2 percentage point over the same information in the previous month (9.6 percent). Percentage changes in general index (inflation rate of consumer goods and services for urban households) for the 12 months ending to the month of Khordad of the year 1396 was 7.4 percent in contrast to the corresponding period of the previous year, which grew 0.3 percentage point over the same information in the month of Ordibehesht (7.1 percent).

2- The index for the major group of "Foods, Beverages and Tobaccos" in this month reached 299.6, which increased 0.1 percent compared to the previous month. The index of the major group of "Foods, Beverages and Tobacco" increased 15.2 percent in contrast to the corresponding month in the previous year, and percentage changes in this group for the 12 months ending to the month of Khordad of the year 1396 was 10.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, which rose 0.9 percent point in contrast to the inflation of the 12 months ending to the month of Ordibehesht (9.5 percent).  The index of the major group of “Foods” in the mentioned month reached 297.7, which increased 0.1 percent compared to the previous month. The index of the major group of “Foods” increased 15.6 percent as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and the inflation rate of the 12 months of this group was 10.5 percent.

3- The index of the major group of "Non-Foods and Services" in the month of Khordad of the year 1396 reached 226.5, which increased 0.4 percent compared to the previous month. The index of the major group of "Non-Foods and Services" rose 6.9 percent compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, and had no change  in contrast to the inflation rate of the 12 months ending to the month of Ordibehesht of the year 1396 (6.2 percent ).
