A Delegation from the
National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia composed of Mr.Stepan Mnatsakanyan, President,
National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, Mrs. Anahit Safyan,
Member of State Council on Statistics of the Republic of Armenia and Mr. Araik
Hayrapetyan, Chief of Staff, National Statistical Service of the Republic of
Armenia entered Tehran on 3 May 2014 and was received at the Imam Khomeini
Airport by Dr. Adel Azar, Head, Statistical Centre of Iran, Dr. Golestan,
In-charge, Office of the Head, Public Relations and International Cooperation
and the staff of the International Cooperation. This delegation had a 4- day
visiting programme in the SCI which began on 4 may and finished on 7 May 2014.
During this visit, the
visiting delegation got familiar with the general activities of the SCI, the
special activities of different divisions (activities of the office of the Head,
Public Relations, and International Cooperation, activities of Office of
Planning, Performance Monitoring and Secretariat of High Council of Statistics,
activities of the Information and
Communication Technology Centre, activities of the Deputy Head for Statistical
Surveys and Administrative Registers, activities of the Deputy Head for Economy
and National Accounts).Moreover, the visiting delegation paid a visit to the
statistical Research Training Centre of Iran (SRTC)and got familiar with the
activities of the SRTC.
Moreover, during this visit, the Armenian delegation visited
the General Department of Statistic &, Information & GIS of Esfahan,
one of the historical cities of Iran. This visiting delegation met with Mr. Hamedanian,
Deputy for Planning and Employment of the Governor General Office of Esfahan,
Dr. Qasemi, Director General of the Department of Statistics, Information &
GIS of Esfahan as well as the staff of the Department. In this meeting, Mr.
Hamedanian and Dr.Qasemi explained the activities carried on in their
Department as well as the methods of data collection. Furthermore, the
delegation had a meeting with Dr.Rasoul Zargarpour, Governor General of
Esfahan, too.
The Armenian delegation left Tehran for Yerevan on 8 May
2014.
