Training Workshop on “2008 System of National Accountsand Its Implementation”

14-17 October 2012, Tehran, I.R. Iran

The training workshop on “2008 System of National Accounts  and Its Implementation” will be conducted jointly by Statistical Centre of Iran (SCI), Economic CooperationOrganization (ECO) and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) from 14 to17 October 2012 in Tehran.

The training workshop will review framework of the System of National Accounts and will provide basic knowledge about concepts, definitions and structure of the System. Review of the main accounts of the System with special attention to the Production Account, major changes between SNA 2008 and the previous revisionand other important issues of the System related to economic statistics, datacollection and estimation methods would be included in the items forpresentation in the training workshop. Training programme  is provided by the UNSD and the Statistical Centre of Iran will host the training workshop:

 The following countries are going to attendthe workshop: Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Iran.  UNSD is going to provide thecourse instructors.
