Forty-fifth Session of the High Council of Statistics focusing on National Statistical Development System is held

Forty-fifth Session of the Iranian High Council of Statistics was held  in Tehran on  21 July 2012. The Session was attended by Mr. Moradi,  Vice  President for Strategic Planning and Supervision, Dr. Adel Azar, Head, Statistical Centre of Iran(SCI)  and the Members of the Council.
In the Session, the cooperation way of government agencies in developing National Statistical Network and  the  link of their information and operation systems with the SCI as well as their assignment and commitment  on the contents of the Nation Fifth Development Plan in the area of  statistics were discussed and important decisions were made.
 The High Council of Statistics   is the apex entity of the Iranian statistical system. It is the highest decision making body for national statistical activities especially the setting of macro statistical policies and assigning the statistical activities to the government agencies, etc. The High Council of Statistics oversees the work of the statistical activities of the government agencies.
