Cooperation between the Statistical Centre of Iran and United Nation Population Fund in Implementing the Fifth Development Plan in Iran

 The Statistical Centre of Iran (SCI) cooperates with the United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) in implementing the Country Programme Action Plan. This Programme is in line with the Fifth Development Plan of Islamic Republic of Ir. Other Iranian implementing partners in this Programme are the Ministry of Health and Medical Education; University of Tehran; Centre for Women and Family in President Office; and the Youth Organization of the Red Crescent. The main goal of this Programme is  to receive the support of UNFPA for the implementation of development plans of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  Health and fertility, population and development, and women and household are three main fields of this cooperation.
  In order to  examine and discuss the solutions, and determine the policies and executive regulations of the Action Plan,  a joint meeting was held on April 6, 2012 in the SCI attended by Dr. Hulki Oz, the UNFPA Representative in Iran and representatives of the concerned Iranian organizations including Mr. Saadat, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the I.R. of Iran ; Mr. Zahedian, Head of the Statistical Research and Training Centre; and Mr. Parsa,  the Deputy Head for Development of Resources, Logistics and Provinces' Affairs of the SCI.
