1. Summary Findings

 1.2. Number of Manufacturing Establishments Labor Force , Compensation.

* In 1390 , a number of 14962 manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers were engaged in manufacturing activities indicating a decline of 2.2 percent as compared with the 1389 year.

* The maximum number of manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers were engaged in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products and the minimum number of them engaged in manufacture of tobacco products.

* In 1390 , the number of labor force engaged in this sector were 1242983 with a decline of 0.45 percent as compared with the preceding year.

* A number of 187723 labor force engaged in ' manufacture of food products and beverages 170880 in manufacture of  other non-metallic mineral products , and 147812 in manufacture of 'motor vehicles , trailers and semi-trailers' were respectively ranked first, second and third in engagement in this sector.

* Out of 1242983 individuals engaged in the country's manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers, 396349 were Unskilled , 392242 skilled and 88705 were technicians and 76057 engineers and 289630 were engaged in non-manifesting sector.

* In 1390, manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers paid 142556 billion rials as compensation of their wage and salary earners with a rise of 19.7 percent as compared with the preceding year.

* In 1390, the maximum compensation figure of 23122 billion rials was paid for manufacture of motor vehicles , trailers and semi-trailers in manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers and the minimum compensation figure in 'Recycling'.

2.2. Manufacturing production value and direct exports value

* The production value of manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers was 2507652 billion rials in 1390 showing a rise of 31.5 percent as compared with the preceding year.

* The direct exports value of manufacturing establishments with 10 and more workers was 27302 million dollars in 1390 indicating a rise of 28.5 percent as compared with the preceding year.

* The maximum direct exports value in this sector in 1390 was 10861 million dollars in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products , 5454 million dollars in manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products and 1979 million dollars in manufacture of basic metals.

2.3. Investment value

* In 1390 , the sum of 68329 billion rials was invested in manufactureing establishments with 10 or more workers showing a growth of 16.2 percent as compared with the preceding year.

* Manufacturing establishments such as 'manufacture of chemicals and chemical products', 'manufacture of coke , refined petroleum products ' , and 'manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products' enjoyed a maximum investment of 12668, 12632 , and 8868 billion rials respectively.

2.4. Manufactureing value added

* Value added resulted from manufacturing activities of manufacturing establishments with 10 or more workers amounted to 629249 billion rials in 1390 showing a growth of 27.2 percent as compared with the previous year.

* Manufacturing activities such as 'manufacture of chemicals and chemical products' , 'manufacture of basic metals , ' and ' manufacture of motor vehicles , trailers , and semi-trailers' enjoyed the maximum value added of 142663, 100128, and 81510 billion rials respectively.
