Summary Results of the Survey on the Public Weighbridges in the year 1399
The Statistical Centre of Iran (SCI) conducted the survey on “the Public Weighbridge” from the survey series on National transportation establishments surveys in the month of Aban, the year 1399 in order to obtain the data needed for the compilation of the national and regional accounts in the transportation sector for the year 1398. The SCI also conducted this survey in the years 1381, 1382, 1386, 1390, and 1394.
Data collection in this survey was a face-to-face interview and using a questionnaire. The generalization of this survey’s results to the total statistical population indicates that:
- There were 1721 public weighbridges nationwide in the year 1398.
- There were 3295 workers in these establishments (public weighbridges) indicating that, on average, about two workers were working in each establishment. Out of this number, about 49.2 percent were wage and salary workers and 50.8 percent were unpaid wage and salary ones.
- The compensation of services provided by public weighbridges workers was 388 billion Rials in the year 1398 showing that the average monthly payment to every wage and salary worker was 19.9 million Rials.
- The value of intermediate consumptions of public weighbridges was 232 billion Rials in the year 1398, out of which, 13.2 percent was paid for stationery, paper, printed forms, newspapers, publications and packaging supplies, 27.2 percent for water, electricity, gas and other fuel bills, 6.9 percent for communication and transportation expenditures, 2.1 percent for commercial insurances (theft insurance, fire insurance….), 15.8 percent for building rentals, 18.1 percent for minor repairs of non-financial assets, and 16.7 percent for other types of intermediate consumption. Based on these findings, the value of intermediate consumption of each establishment was 143 million Rials on average.
- The output value of public weighbridges in the year 1398 was more than 1375 billion Rials out of which 96.7 percent was for payment received for weighing the vehicles and 3.3 percent for other types of output. Based on this fact, the output value of each establishment was an average of 848 million Rials.
Based on the findings of this survey in the studied period, the value added of public weighbridges was 1143 billion Rials showing that the value-added of each establishment was 705 million Rials indicating that this value has increased by 2.1 times in comparison with the results of the last corresponding survey in the year 1394.
