Summary Report on the Number of Small Livestock in Nationwide Livestock Farms

 

In the autumn, the year 1401[1], the number of small livestock in the livestock farms nationwide was estimated 62.4 million heads

 

According to the results of the survey on “Measuring the Number and Products of Small Livestock” in the month of Azar[2] of the year 1401, the number of sheep and lambs, goats and kids in the nationwide livestock farms was 46.1 and 16.3 million heads, respectively.

Other findings of this survey show that the number of fattened sheep and lambs, and goats and kids in the autumn of the year 1401 was 4207 and 1536 thousand head, respectively, and the number of lambs and goat kids born in the same period was 5543 and 1945 thousand head, respectively.
